The difference between a chronograph and a chronometer.

A chronograph is a watch with hands that display hours, minutes and seconds, together with a mechanism for measuring elapsed time by means of a central chronograph hand, which records seconds, and 30-minute and 12-hour totalisers. A chronometer is a watch that has obtained an official rate certificate from the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute) after having passed precision tests in different positions and at different temperatures, as well as water-resistance tests. These tests are conducted over a 15-day period.

What are the service intervals?

Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly in order for it to work perfectly. Obviously, we cannot indicate the intervals for such work, given that it depends entirely on the model, climate and the care taken by the watch's owner. As a general rule, it is between 4 and 5 years, depending on the use of the watch.

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. We accept Paypal. We accept cash and bank wires. All sales by credit cards require that all your data is exactly as it is on the credit card. Bill to and ship to must be the same. Sales over $2500 need to be approved by Jackmond on credit card or require a wire transfer or Money Order. All decisions are with our credit department and we require you to fill out a credit card acknowledgement on all credit card transactions over $2500. All money orders take 5-7 working days to clear.

What is so important about servicing your watch?

Your watch is constantly working. As with any precision instrument, it is important to service your watch to ensure longevity and accuracy. Regular service will ensure that you get the most out of your investment over time.

What is the collectible watch business and why should I look at watches as an investment?

The collectable watch business like any other investments is built on a limited number of certain timepieces being available. The return on these timepieces besides being wearable is astonishing. Rolex 1970's Paul Newman sold for $2000 in 1972. Today if you can find them over $100,000 and going up. Major collections of timepieces are rare and hard to find. The market has shown tremendous growth over the past 20 years. They are recession proof and gain value as they are a limited by availability. We have invested millions of dollars in collectable watches and we offer you a solid investment for years to come.

What is your return policy?

We will take your returns up to 7 days after purchase. You must obtain a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). You can get your RMA by calling us or emailing us at We gladly accept returns if there was damage to the watch or it was misstated in our ads. All other reasons must be discussed directly with us. There maybe a restocking charge for your returns. We will NOT ACCEPT any items sent back to us WITHOUT a proper RMA and will be refused.
